Full Description
Start your day in Battambang city with a visit to colonial buildings or the Provincial Hall. Stop at the Ta Dambong Kro Aung statue and learn about its history.
Drive through the countryside to Prasat Baset temple, passing small villages, farms, and rice fields along the way. Continue to Wat Samrong Knong to learn about the Khmer Rouge period and pay respect at local memorials.
Visit the impressive Wat Ek Phnom, known for its large Buddha and serene surroundings. Take a moment to rest in the shade and enjoy the scenery.
Next, head west to ride the Bamboo Train (extra fee). Experience a one-hour ride through picturesque villages and scenic rice fields. Travel to Ou Srolao village for a longer ride to feel the authentic Bamboo Train experience.
In the afternoon, climb Wat Banan Temple, located atop a mountain. Ascend 358 steps to reach the five towers and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
