Prasat Banan, perched atop Phnom Banan, is one of Battambang’s most iconic hilltop temples. The temple is located 23 km south of Battambang city. Reaching it requires a climb of 358 stone steps. The panoramic views of the surrounding countryside are well worth the effort.


History & Architecture

  • Built in the 11th century by King Udayadityavarman II, son of King Suryavarman I.
